The Powys Peasants' Revolt!

I am disgusted with the way Powys County Council is run. A small clique of ‘Board’ councillors and over-powerful officers hold all the power within the County Council. Planning decisions are increasingly put through ‘on the nod’ and crucial items such closure of village schools are decided by this ‘closed shop’. Our local public services sink ever lower whilst the council tax climbs ever higher! The words ‘Chimps’ and Tea Party’ spring to mind.

Well, it is time somebody made a stand!

I want you, the great Powys public, to send to me your issues relating to how poorly you feel you have been treated by Powys County Council. Email me or blog me your complaints and I will co-ordinate our counter attack. Let’s scrutinise our councillors’ voting records, lets scrutinise their expense claims, let’s scrutinise their declarations of interests for any hint of corruption! Let’s make them actually EARN their huge re-numerations, paid for by OUR taxes!

The Powys Peasants' Revolt has begun!
